The first 'Harvest Ceremonial' was held by the Sine Family in 1962. Featuring dancers from several tribes, staple foods like fry bread, drums like heartbeats and the strong voice of a crowd, the Ceremonial grew into an event beloved by the greater Illinois Valley community. Now, we are proud to bring this event back to life. In an effort led by Gerald Savage (Chief White Winnebago of the HoChunk Nation), grandson of Sam (Chief Walks With the Wind) and Ruth Mallory (Walks On a Cloud) Sine, the Harvest Ceremonial will return November 1st, 2025, under a new name.
